This morning on the radio apparently he has partially agreed to the job however they have offered him 2.5 million and he wants 5 million (a year)!  Greedy foreigner.  I think he should prove his worth before he even considers asking for more money!

Surely when you're talking that kind of money a vast percentage should be performance related???

He's a good manager but I think a manager of a national side should at least be able to speak directly to his players and not rely on an interpreter!  Get him some intensive English lessons and I'm all for it....

I think he PROVED HIS WORTH by winning the world cup .. getting Portugal to the final of Euro 2004 and getting Portugal to the world cup unbeaten in their group

Better to have a tactical and technical coach than a big boot merchant like Sam Allardyce .. personally id have preferred Martin O'Neill but Big Phil is a good choice

I was referring to proving his worth managing England.

If he's really asked for us to double his salary then we should tell him to stick it.

What is Sven on? He is well within his rights to ask for a similar wage, if you ask me.

4 million I think.

I'm only going by bbc radio news this morning but apparently he was offered 2.5 and asked for double which is more than what Sven is on anyway!

Scolari is now believed to be brokering terms on his contract, as he is reported to want parity with the departing Eriksson - who is paid over £4 million-a-year at Soho Square

Sounds reasonable.

Exactly what i said Dave Smiley Scolari isn't going to want less than Sven is he,that would be very silly of the bloke. If we want him  we will have to pay him at least what Sven is getting, and who knows Big Phil might actually do a job ,and not spend his time sleeping around with women whilst bumming David Beckham.
