It's that time of the year where my Norton Antivirus subscription runs out and instead of simply renewing it I'm thinking of getting a different antivirus or maybe a whole internet security suite and stop using zonealarm for my firewall.

I've seen Pc-Cillin Internet Security 2006 for £25. Anyone know if this is any good? Or can people recommend any other good antivirus/internet security software?

i've got a free copy of norton which i can post to you if you pm me your addresS?

Make sure you are not connected to the internet

run the setup program as normal

when asked for the serial no open the keygen.exe and generate the code

when asked to activate let it try the online method twice, it will fail then give you the option to activate by phone, choose this option

Use the key generator to generate the phone challenge code, it will then activate for 12 months

You can now connect back to the internet and run all the updates as normal - it'll take a few updates and reboots to get bang up to date

When it runs out uninstall and do the same

Spankyou very much.

For Spyare HitMan Pro is the best on the market incorporates all of the other programs out there.

I tend to run spyware checks every so often just in case, but the best way of being safe is to just be careful of what you install. You'll always get a few tracker cookies, but generally they are pretty harmful, but you can avoid most of the major ones by not installing stuff like kazaa (although there is a klite version which is ok), getright, etc.

My norton was going to expire today. But I change my PC date to January 1st. And the subscription is ok again.

Is there any down points on doing this?

Make sure you don't go back to the year 2000. The millenium bug is lurking
