Mwhahahahha. Seems they're even more skint than we are. He'll have to go to plan B, oh. Good managing Merson, all the eggs in one basket, Wallsall must be less attractive that you think!
Should make Jan 31st more fun.

Did Constable get a permanent deal in the end ? He is due to sign a permie deal any minute now if not already done . Sounded like a 'loan until the transfer window opens then sign' deal. I found this suprising http://www.expressandstar.com/articles/sport/walsall/article_85614.php Walsall have been reluctant to hand over transfer fees in recent years with the £4,000 paid to Chippenham for James Constable the only one handed over since the £150,000 signing of Jorge Leitao in 2000.
One transfer fee in 5 years. Blimey, they are financially challenged too!

Merson has gotta be back on the drink, about as competent a manger as Gazza, except Gazza is funny.... on second thoughts maybe Merson is funnier with his latest £4000 'Beano' signing and gutless comments about STFC, give the guy a comedy award and a pint.
