That's weird I was just going to post that I think he deserves a place in the world cup squad. Did have a great game today, when so many of Man City's players were total shite. He's in my fantasy football team.
Best English midfielder though Dave?? He's not better than Gerrard, Lampard or Joe Cole, all three also had great games today.
But he is probably the best midfielder not in the squad at the moment.

I still think England play too defensively. Our strength is in going forward - we should play good attacking football that puts pressure on the teams we play.
