shakes first touch is appalling,if he aint getting the ball he aint trying hard enough or he is hiding.
i have never raved about him and think he is our most overrated player.

wake up, I am not being negative, I am being realistic.

Ricky Shakes is not a good player, he had a few good games and he hasnt done anything for the last 2. He hasnt even put in a single ounce of effort.

Jack Smith has been shit, but had no cover

Co-incidence Shakes happens to have an International friendly this week....no chance

Possibly [if it happens] the worst player to ever play at a world cup

I think Shakes needs to knock the ball further forward and run on to it more. The times I've seen him play he keeps the ball too close to his feet and ends up slowing himself down.

It's just that his big asset is his pace. He seems to not use it effectively in that he won't take players on - he checks back often and looks for help. I think he needs to play more like Kanchelskis rather than using skills to round players.

is he that quick though,he is no slouch but i dont think he is too quick either
