What does it mean.  I'm just doing some coursework( Shocked ), and its in the text.  I think it might mean decrease but I'm not too sure.  Any ideas?

That's a levee. Don Mclean originally did that song. A levee is an embankment next to a river to prevent flooding.

Storm chasers. They drive around everywhere to try and find flooded rivers. That's why she was so disappointed that the levee was dry.

It's probably because it rhymes with a make of an American car  :roll:

It's also something to do with Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Richie Valens who died in a plane crash. I've heard that it's a reference to a three murdered people who were buried in a levee, although there are so many interpretations it could be tripe.
