Heaton

Jenkins,     Comyn-Platt,     O'Hanlon,     Smith

Shakes,    Gurney,    Whalley (Or Migz if fit),   Not Sure

                Fallon,       Bouazza

Comyn-Platt impressed me a lot on saturday, he looked assured and wasn't afraid to be vocal.

We desperately need some spine in midfield, Gurney provided this  after Comyn-Platt came on yesterday and quite amazingly some of his attempted Beckham-like cross-field balls found their man.

Pook was very very poor.

If Bouazza can consistently perform like the last 15 mins against Scunthorpe he would be in the team every week.

Not sure about the left wing.

I think Ifil has been alot better recently in defence but Platt did look very good.

Bouazza had good spells, but then again not so good spells. If we have Rory in the team we will always lump it up to him. To bring Bouazza into the game we need to play it on the deck to his feet.

Pook has been one of the better performers this season, but does look like he needs a rest for a game or two, sadly we dont really have anyway else than can fill in.

For the left wing, why not try Andy Nicholas in front of Jack Smith?!

Pook out i agree.

Rather have Nico than Jack Smith.

We need some new midfielders, we're far too lightweight.

Whalley and Migz are far too alike.

Need some meat in midfield.

Steff is too injury prone. As much as i like the guy, we're better off without him IMO.

New blood come january i think.

he always gets injured whenever he gets his hair cut, he's rather like samson in that respect.

Bit harsh on Pook. Young players are always going to be prone to the odd poor game, you've got to look at the wider picture and he's done a good job so far this season.

With everyone fit and in form I'd go for

Code:

                  Heaton

Jenkins   O'Hanlon    Ifil   Nicholas

Shakes    Miglioranzi Pook   Nicolau

          Fallon      Bouazza

Nicho's been solid when he's played this season, Smith has been good but Nicho's left footed, Ifil has been inconsistent but I've not seen enough of Comyn-Platt really.

Shakes and Nicolau are out and out wingers, the importance of width has been shown again and again this season. Scunthorpe tore us apart down the left hand side yesterday. Pook and Stef in the middle doesn't provide the strength we need in that position but it's making the best of what you've got.

Fallon's been in superb form and I rate Bouazza, he's lively and causes a threat. I can see him bagging a few  goals this month.

Slightly different, if everyone fit, I would try:

                              Heaton

Jenkins     O'Hanlon    Gurney     Nicholas

Shakes    Miglioranzi    Pook       Bouazza

                      Fallon          Roberts

Jenkins is our best RB when fit
O'Hanlon and Gurney the best CB's,  esp. least liable to make basic errors
Nicholas has looked solid, good long throw, and joins attack well lately
Shakes is fast but also defends well to help Jenkins, will improve
Migs and Pook are all we've got CM, Whalley is past it
Bouazza is a great prospect, speed strength, dribbling abliity.
Fallon has been great, but needs more support from wings and  a partner
Roberts must be tried with Fallon up front, the enigma must be solved

Other ideas:  Comyn Platt looks very good, but a bit early to try him.

Jack Smith has played well, could he play midfield somewhere???

Roberts has always wanted to play up front, if he failed at least we would know it's been tried. This would get  him out of direct defensive duties where he has been weak, but give him no excuses for not giving his all.

We can't afford Ifil's frequent  bad mistake/s  per game IMO, so keep the same back four where possible.

If no Migs, Iffy should get  a good CM partner for Pook asap after sending a few loans back to release funds

FWIW:

Heaton between the sticks

Jenks, CCP, SeanO, Smith across the back.

Shakes, Whalley, Gurney, Bouazza in the middle

Fallon, Roberts ooop top.

That is my desired (if that's the right word!) team.
