They do the best pies in Wigan, where I used to work was near the factory and they had a sort of factory outlet counter there where we used to go and get dinner most days!

TBF my old man lived in Runcorn for 20 years and my step daughters dad lived between St Hellens and Leigh and they do make a mean pie up there, love a plain old meat n potato pie, you can't get them in the south at all, and they were always a a quid when chippies down here were charging £2.50+.

Our favourite chippy was at Harrys Fish Bar at Penketh between Widnes and Warrington, fantastic chippery with spam fritters the size of bin lids and enough chips to feed a family of 4 with one portion!

Met a few lasses from the likes of Wigan and Rochdale on lads foreign holidays.
Clearly when I was a younger lad. Without doubt they were always game.
