I just got the best house-warming present ever....

A superb trout loch, beautiful scenery, wildlife - what more could a fisherman ask for! All this and more is available at our fishery high in the hills above Greenock in West Central Scotland. The loch is stocked with rainbow trout to 20Ibs as well as containing wild brown trout and brook trout.

Ardgowan fishery is a fly, bait and spinning fishery. All fishery rules should be adhered to in this respect. The loch is a large water (37acres) with plenty of room for everyone. 6 boats will be available for hire(Fly only) this year as well as float tubes. Snacks are on sale from our fishing lodge which is large enough for some welcome shelter if the weather suddenly turns nasty!

Scotland as a country is a mecca for trout anglers and we feel our facilities are as good as anything available. As fishermen ourselves we understand the needs of the angler and what is required to provide a good days sport. Our staff are helpful and friendly and can advise on the best methods and fish holding areas. We are planning to introduce a wide variety of species during the year.

We also supply a wide range of fishing tackle. Flies range from traditional flies and lures to nymphs and buzzers.Rods and reels are available for hire. We also sell Powerbait and live bait including
worms, wasp grubs and maggots from the lodge, as well as fly lines and accessories.
