Cooper cites lack of experience for Bees defeat

MANAGER Mark Cooper has reconciled that Swindon Town’s defensive fragility is down purely to inexperience after his side shipped three goals in defeat to Brentford on Boxing Day.

Really Cooper ?
Ward and/or Wes at fault for the 3rd goal so cant really use inexperience as a factor there can you !!

Cooper annoys me sometimes, did i see a quote suggesting we are over achieving come from him as well. We've got the most talented midfield/forward line we've had in this division for 20 years. If he could sort the defense out nothing would stop us.

This, Ward was at fault, by far the most experienced player we have.

He probably agrees with you but that thing called money is the problem.
Got to stick with what he has got.

That's a bit of a claim....we've had a number of very decent players in midfield and up front, in this Div over then last 20 years, aplenty of them have had careers better than many of the current lads might have. I think Cooper rightly expects us to be in a bit of a battle for points in the 2nd half of the season, so the current place of 7th might be a bit flattering.

You could argue we have one of the best groups of players in 20 years - on terms of pure technique - but in terms of balance of style, age, energy, experience and drive, it falls short.
