I actually agree, but thought I'd raise the possibility. My actual opinion on it is that there is a combination of factors:

 - our defense has been a little high and leaky, leaving Wes one-on-one more often, with more scope for mistakes
 - the differences in coaching/preparation between Douardo and Digby. I know nothing about the latter's techniques, but Douardo was praised for his attention to detail with regards to scouting the opposition and one-on-one coaching
 - Wes must take some personal responsibility

The whole team got worse as you would expect when you lose your manager and most influential player mid season. Wes was more vulnerable/exposed, had more to do and therefore more susceptible to mistakes.

I (like most on here) have no clue whether Fraser is a decent coach or not. As long as he's the manager's choice then I'm more than happy to have a legend on board.

They do still need to get their badges but the point being made in that article (that keepers have to go through all the outfield courses to get to the GK courses) is no longer true - the GK track now runs in parallel with the "normal" coaching qualifications:

And do we know if Diggers has them?  I hope so (or is working towards it).

You do still have to do each outfield badge before the relevant goalkeeping badge
