Would be surprised if he went there, seeing as he turned down Cheltenham.

Seems like he's got a bit of a strop on after being recalled from Pompey

I think they'll make him go this time, turning down 3 moves would be seen as rebellious and I don't think the club would stand for it.

Think he might feel that he's still good enough for L1..

At his age I don't think he can afford to be picky, especially as he's never established himself in this division.

The Bristol rag suggests he turned down Cheltenham because they failed to give him assurances over a deal for next year and that Rovers will also struggle to, as Ward is only in place until the summer.

Why should he go simply because the club want him to? He was given an 18 month contract.

Or he's trying to make sure that possibly the last or maybe second to last move of his career is a good one and one that suits him and his family. He might not fit into the club's plans any more but it's a bit harsh to describe a bloke looking out for his own career once he does move on as "having a bit of a strop on".

I know he has recently moved to Swindon and his daughter goes to school here, so he would want to get something local I'm sure. Won't we want to keep him if Martin has to go back?
