I think I read somewhere that he did play there for Exeter a few times and did well. Although I may have dreamt that.

Troy is a fucking hoof merchant no matter where he plays. Really fucking annoyed that he is shit, because we had a brilliant song for him. The cunt.

He may have had a poor game but Troy actually sounds ideal for a defensive midfielder.
I reckon we'll be seeing him there again and I reckon in time he will nail it. Just a hunch.
It could work. Its a shame we no longer have reserve matches where we could try these sort of things.

Cost plenty and I reckon will be well paid too. Too many square pegs in round holes which could cost us eventually? We're not in the basement division now

Presumably that's also what he had in mind at Stevenage until Troy was ill during the warm up.

Troy is a decent centre half but playing in midfield remiinded me of when we played Kanyuka there for a couple of games.

Best thing to do is play Ritchie in the centre, Roberts and De Vita on the wings with Troy back in defence. Simples.

Not a bad shout, I'd like to see Roberts in the centre if we had to, he has a bit more 'build' over Ritchie but whatever happens tomorrow it will be an experiment

This is what I was thinking, keep Ritchie out wide. Knowing/not knowing how Paolo thinks we could start with Rooney in the centre.

Hopefully L. Thompson gets a start. I wonder if he'll play Ward and Devera in the middle of defence? I'd rather Troy had a rest from the first team until he's remembered how to play football again. It would be nice to see Williams and Storey up front too!

Roberts would be more suited to playing a central role. He takes too long to get a cross in when he plays out wide.

Yeah he's had one bad game, but it's fair to say his passing ability is more akin to Jerel Ifil than Beckerbauer.

Amid all the manager’s talk of not having a large enough squad, I'd like to see Luke Rooney given a go there tonight. Yes, we'd be lightweight, but he is mobile, unlike Roberts... and I still can't get his performance for Gillingham against us last year out of my head. Waste of a resource if he has been permanently cast aside.
