It’s a poor average attendance for a club of our stature. Symbolic of the current malaise at Town and out of sync with the general trend in football. To put it in perspective. Only the 8th highest in the division. Less than that achieved by non league Southend this season.

Southends average was 7,120 in the league, so lower albeit not by much. (some sites give the figure as 7,339 though) and I cant be fucked in checking TBH.

Southend are very much the outlier in the Bananarama league as the next highest was York with 6,143 then Oldham with 6,037 and then theres a huge gap to hartlepool and Yeovil both well under 4k average each.

Also with the exception of Carlisle every team with a bigger home average finished above us in the table.
