If you are honest in addition to the above Comazzi, Devera, Connell, Risser and Megera have to one extent or another not worked out yet.

I'm not saying they are duds, far from it. But the large squad size and PDCs favoured style of play has seen them used more sparing than I'd though they would be.

Connell and Megera I'd like to see more of, but not at the expense of us changing a winning and confident team.

Connell seems to play better as an impact sub so I think we should keep it that way. I know some of these are making the wage bill larger but they do give us options and the bigger the squad the more advantage we have over other sides with smaller squads.

When we get to the last 4 or 5 months of the season injuries and suspensions will really begin to take their toll on a lot of teams and we'll have the luxury of having replacements without having to get loans. The odd reserve game and sub appearance keeps them sharp. The only player that is left on our books that probably picks up a decent wage who I would say could be chopped is Esajas. I've yet to see anything of note from him when he's played and Gabilondo looks like a much better option. The rest I think we should keep even if they don't play every week.

I kind of agree... the point I made originally though was in response to Reg's subtly implying that we have half a squad of wasters who Di Canio doesn't want.
