  TOWN boss Paolo Di Canio is waiting on an Italian defender to decide whether to make the move to Swindon Town, but it will not be former World Cup winning captain Fabio Cannavaro.

I've spoken to a Milan based writer who watched Comazzi play for his local side Como Calcio around 10 years ago and followed his progress ever since.

Whether this move turns out or not it's good to be linked with this calibre of player, although I just want some signings!

Nice summary.  I hope your efforts are not wasted though.  Despite the Adver headline, it doesn't sound as if his family situation will allow him a move abroad.

It emerged yesterday that ex-Milan and Lazio defender Alberto Comazzi has been approached by Di Canio, who has made a lucrative offer to tempt the 32-year-old to the County Ground.

Cannavaro still had a year to run on his £50,000 a week contract at Al Ahli..............

Does Di Canio realise that there is a wage cap and is this the reason that so many players have been players have gone? To pay Comazzi's wages? A quality CB is one thing but we need a few other players as well............
