Did anyone else watch Panorama last night, covering the treatment of patients at a residential care home?

The staff dishing out the abuse are absolute scum. Some of them have been arrested now but you just know they'll get away with it and not face any jail time. Why don't they throw the book at people like this? It's assault, abuse, torture amongst other things and should be treated as such.

You had to feel for the patients families, especially the ones whose daughter had told them about the abuse and they didn't believe her. Must have been sole destroying for them to watch that video and very difficult allowing it to be broadcast as well.

I think they will be hit hard - courts have guidelines on abuse of trust positions that recommend harder sentences that normal crimes would carry

Unfortunately stuff like that goes on in hospitals,and care homes for the elderly too. Has happend in Swindon

Sick bastards. Oooo how i'd love to face up to one of them and show them the fear that they inflict on these poor defenceless people. How is it these uneducated, unqualified chav scum get to work in a care home anyway?!
