According to twitter, Douglas is currently in Australia and has been since before Di Canio joined.

Maybe their waiting till he gets back to discuss contracts etc which is why he hasn't been announced.

Douglas has said previously that he wanted to stay. He said his agent would sort all that out.

without doubt this is the club cutting its cloth accordingly. The big earners are being shown the door and the lesser earners being kept on. Di canio better be good in the transfer market and a motivator of what he's inherited or we're fucked.

Douglas is overated imo. A decent player for sure but 1 goal in 2 seasons is a dreadfull return. Not worth what we were paying him, hence why he's gone.

I would be fairly baffled if Douglas and Cuthbert aren't offered deals, if it's due to wages then fair enough but Dougie would be the best player in that league by a mile.

I'd be disappointed if Douglas and Cuthbert weren't kept on.
OK, they didn't have great seasons last year, but neither did anyone.
The season before they were both great, so would hope they can recapture that form and confidence under di Canio.
