Thats to do with the family I presume. Didn't want to up root maybe.
Yeah, maybe, I never thought of that. But Brentford though, its the last place I thought he'd end up....

Quite surprised Wilson didn't go for him to be honest.

Of course Douglas played a huge part in our relegation.
How many games did he play last season? He's probably the only player who wasn't in and out the side all season. Has to have played the most games I would have thought?
Even more so he couldn't even stand out in a piss poor side.
Perhaps he needs Simon Ferry to make him look good?

Only Cuthbert started more games. Incidentally, of the ten outfield players who made the most appearances last season, only Ritchie and Caddis are left at the club. As someone who was keen for a major overhaul but identified those two as about the only ones who performed consistently I'm satisfied with the summer so far.

Have to agree with London Red up to a point. I am not worried about who has left the club - it would have been nice if Douglas stayed but isn't the end of the earth that he has gone.
I am a bit concerned about the lack of progress with signings though. It would be nice to think there are some quality out of contract players turning up here on 1st July, but nothing seems to suggest that yet.

Yeah that made me laugh as well.... I almost expected him to add a dramatic "he's dead to me"

He said that before the commazzi interview.
He said in in the context of: "We've got a new signing and you wanna talk about Douglas?"

He's right though, isn't he? Whether you rated Douglas or not, he's fucked off. Let's concentrate on the players that are still here.
