2010/11 squad numbers are out!  Too Cool

Noticed Charlie still has number 32, probably in order to try and take a bit of pressure off him? Vince has been given number 9 - possibly an indication that Danny is expecting him to step up to the plate a little?

And opinions on why we have no one assigned to 5, 6 or 8. Indication of potential signings maybe? Or am I reading too much into this (probably am...)?

I'd hope we'll get somebody in at centre back who will take 5 or 6, and 8 would probably be Ferry if he signs. I'm not sure that Pericard taking 9 is all that indicative of anything other than the fact he's our only striker at the moment, except Austin who presumably chose to stick with 32.

I know to a certain extent squad numbers are irrelevant, but why is Prutton 10 and Timlin 11?

Surely fill in the gaps. i.e 8 prutton and keep Timlin at 10.

I'd imagine players get a bit of a say in which number they get. And being footballers they'll be looking for their lucky number.

In Timlins case is going for a full house.  I'm pretty certain he's had a different number every season.

He'll find one that works for him one of these seasons.
