Bit of help please.

My girlfriend's car is currently being MOTed and as much as she's in denial, it's got as much chance of making a pass as Jerel Ifil generally did. It's a rust bucket old Ford Fiesta, so repairing it seems a bit of a waste, but getting rid of it might be a bit tricky too. We Buy Any Car have offered us the princely sum of £70 before they've even seen it and knocked a bit more off, and even then we'd have to deliver it. Are any local breakers likely to offer any more, is it just a case of getting rid of it more than getting cash for it?

Also, I don't suppose anyone is selling a working small car dead cheap?

Park it in the parks with the keys in it. Report it after about 24hrs.

Or similar. Loads of them around. I had my old Nova taken away by one of these firms a few years back. Easy.

If you can get rid of it without having to pay someone I'd say you've got a good deal.

I had a couple of Sierra's a few years back, took me months just go give them away.

the days of getting nothing for scrap cars are gone.due to the high price of metal you'll get money for it.

I got £100 for my deer-stricken Clio so worth a punt. Call them up before you go for a rough price.

Yeah, £60-80 seems to be the general opinion amongst scrappers. Thanks for the help folks.

Surely Penhill and report it after 20 mins as I expect it will take 18 mins to fully burn out

I've got a 1994 BMW 3-series (1.8 Saloon) that I'm selling. It's in good working order (my brother in-law owned it until Sept last year, and he had it for 5-6 years and he's a mechanic). It's mechanically sound (or will be once I've got a hole in the exhaust fixed later this week!), and decent enough inside (although bear in mind it's 16 years old).

It's MOT'd until end of Sept, but I'm confident it will get through fine. Has had 3 new tyres earlier this year.

Looking to get £500 for it, if you're interested?
