FROM THE DUGOUT: Wilson on Charlton draw

DANNY Wilson admitted his side need to develop a ruthless streak as they could only draw 2-2 against nine-man Charlton yesterday.

For anyone who went to the game, did we sit back after we took the lead?

Not really. We just weren't very useful against 10 or 9 men. We really pushed for those goals but Greer was getting caught at the back by Sodje, so Charlton were still threatening. We didn't seem to push as hard after we went in front, perhaps understandable but we didn't sit on our lead.

O'Brien actually offered a lot when he came on, but the other substitutions lost us a lot.

We haven't properly closed down opposition in any of our last few games and it's starting to worry me. Brighton, Orient and 9 man Charlton all looked to be very capable at passing and retaining possession. That's the main concern.

I thought we did fine against 9 men until we went 2-1 up and slowed down. At 1-0 down we were having chance after chance until Austin scored. We just took our foot off the pedal towards the end, perhaps a result of losing our main attacking threat - Amankwaah and JPM linking up on the right wing.

What constitutes as fine? We didn't really threaten in the first half at all. Second half we did for half an hour.

51% possession with 2 extra men really forces home my last point. Quite crap actually, didn't think it was that bad.

51%? That can't be rigth surely? We dominated possesion in the 2nd half as you'd expect. They barely had the ball and when they did it was lumped up top.
