I've never been that impressed by Strachan. One of those things that has no factual basis, i'm sure his record is actually good.

I think Strachan will have them back in the premier league next season - but I'm pretty sure Southgate would have done as well.

I think any half decent manager could - they have a decent squad, at least good enough for the championship.

Good to see Strachan has fucked things up at Boro. Under Southgate they were 3rd/4th (when he was sacked) with an average of 1.8 points a game, under Strachan they've dropped to 11th with an average of 0.7 points a game.

I really, really hope things go from bad to worse there to teach their fuckwit board a lesson. Same as when Leeds sacked O'Leary for finishing 3rd (or 4th or whatever), I bet O'Leary still laughs about that.

Southgate was sacked due to them only being 3rd/4th in the Championship and not in the top two, which wasn't good enough apparently. In my book that is a dumb ass thing to do and hasn't worked out too well for them.

Well the gun will be loaded again soon...Strachan is a dire manager...and has the personality of a fish sunbathing.

Gareth Southgate was sacked due to the belief he was not the man to take the forward, gibson admitted as such when he was sacked

Southgate reminds me of Nigel Mansell's less interesting brother in law.

How he got that job in the first place was a minor miracle and I don’t think he’d have managed much more than scraping promotion and taking them back down again the following season.

Are you serious? Strachan is one of my favourite managers in terms of personality and having a laugh. He's a bit like a funny and intelligent version of Ian Holloway, without the constant need to perform and live up to the wacky persona he's generated. Smiley

It's not in there, but i remember reading one which was as he was walking down the tunnel or something a reporter said, "Gordon, can i have a quick word?" Strachan replied, "Yes, Velocity." And continued.

At the risk of being called pedantic again, velocity is a measurement of speed (and direction) rather than an actual speed - he would have been ok with fast or speedy.

Fuckwit board? Boro?

I bet any money 99% of managers out there would love Steve Gibson as their boss.
