I remember sitting up at the top of the South Stand (as it was then) and watching a flock of starlings do their thing for at least 15 minutes over Ferndale/Gorse Hill.  It was a dull game.

And that mullet bloke really looks like he's from Bristol.

I never see chaffinches in my garden yet they used to be the most common bird in Britain.Starlings,however rule the roost.Must be a regional thing.

You might be thinking of the Breckland OF, excellent place for bird watching.

 Although it has changed in recent years it's still an unusual landscape. My forays there have been a bit limited due to its eastern aspect.

 On a few occasions I've been in the Arkells and watched the starlings wheeling over Buckhurst Field....also sometimes they roost on the floodlights. Buggers if you get them nesting in your roof mind.

Yeah they still are arriba but not so often,but every now and again you will see them.I remember when i was young and lived in hughes street the fields at the back was full of starling's,it was great sight to watch them from the bedroom window doing displays.
