Red wine is my drink of choice at home usually.
I love a good Merlot or Rioja.
Although tonight i'm drinking a Shiraz unfortunately named Oxford Landing.
It was on offer in the Co-op and is a nice drop Smiley

Merlot is a good, safe red choice. I had Shiraz for the first time in India. I didn't enjoy it!

Shiraz is my favourite red. Can't go wrong with a Cab Sauv either.

Getting hammered on Claret on Thrusday evening used to be a bit of a ritual for some friends and I.

We had it with nothing.

What was equally masterful were the Water Buffalo Sausages in Onion, Mushroom and Red Wine gravy that accompanied it. True winter comfort food.......Unfortunately, I can't take the credit.
