It's those hawkers and traders I can't be doing with. Nearly as bad as the vagabonds

My ex was a fucking nightmare when it came to cars and picking each other up.

If I was picking her up, I'd arrive on time, wait for a few minutes, no sign of her, blow my horn, wait for a few minutes, no sign of her, ring her mobile, no answer, wait for a few minutes, ring doorbell, wait a few minutes, knock on the door. Eventually she answers the door 15 minutes after I get there. When I complain she says its my fault and that I should have; blown my horn, rang her mobile, rang the doorbell etc. When I say I did she says it is still my fault.

If she was picking me up, if I wasn't waiting outside my front door when she turned up (early, on time or late), I'd get a bollocking for holding her up. If I pointed out she kept me waiting the other day, I'd get another bollocking.

Bitches. Can't live with them, can live without them - I'm now single and happy.

You can replace "My ex" with "All women", and it works just as well.

Did you know that mowing your lawn, or fixing/washing your car is illegal on a Sunday in Luxembourg? That my friends, is stone cold fact.

I don't think they were tooting for him NMH, hence him being woken up.

Your point is a very valid one though.
I apologise to Bennett. I didn't read the last line of his post.

It is in Belgium too.

in switzerland too - the flats i lived in you weren't allowed to have your own washing machine becasue of noise, and the laundry room in the basement was locked up on a sunday with the power turned off at the breakers.  you could be fined for flushing the bog after 10pm any night too.  a few years ago they had a vote on banning driving on sunday too, which a surprising amount of people actually voted for, especially since going skiiing on the weekend is a fairly large part of their economy.  they are a very odd bunch.

This has given me an idea for work. Next time I have a parcel for someone, I will just sit in my van and beep the horn.

If they complain, I'll go on strike.
