My match program for this match Feb 22nd 1995....line ups

Aiden Davison
Scott Green

Jimmy Phillips
Jason Mcateer
Simon Coleman
Alan Stubbs
David Lee
Richard Sneekes
Mixu Paatelainen
John Mginlay
Alan Thompson
Owen Coyle
Mark Patterson..........Town,Hammond,Robinson,Murray,O Sullivan,Niholt,Taylor,Horlock,Beauchamp,Fjortoft,Thorne,Ling,Mutch,Digby and Thompson...squads obviously.
But hold on...in my match program i have a little paper insert, they couldnt be bothered to reprint the program for Wednesday 8th of March and instead a little mini prog...with the actual proper lineups..Branagan in for Davidson in goal and Coyle on the bench with Mixu Pat...Mutch,Digby and Osullivan for Town.
This rearanged seemed to be going our way when Town went one up to go 3-1 up on Agg....my memories of this game is ide rather we hadnt scored as Bolton had to go for broke and a double from Mixu helped them score three latish goals...Bolton played Liverpool in the final.
In the original program it seems the first rumblings of discontent was appearing in Fjortoft, quoted as sayig he was horrified that only 11,ooo had watched us v Milwall in the cc quarter final win.
Mcmahon blasted him by saying he can speculate if he wants but hes staying...Fjortoft had recently signed a long term contract but we know the rest!
Interestlingly(for some) the Bolton/Swindon connection was centred on Ted Vizard...a great for Bolton playing 512 matches playing in the winning White Horse Wembley final, playing 22 times for Wales he left to become Swindons first profesional manager in 1933...in six years eighth was his best effort for Town in Div 3 south.
Later managing QPR and Wolves he died in Wolverhampton in December 1973.

It was a poor crowd.

But people were put off Millwall fixtures with good reason back then. Think there were quite a few in the south stand that night?

I was in the Grove beforehand and there were only 3 Town fans in there. To be fair the Millwall fans were alright. I was sat in the DRS near the TE and again the Millwall fans sat behind us were alright. In fact, they even stopped some trouble when a few Town reacted to a few Millwall. I heard there was trouble in the other side of the DRS.
I've seen Millwall at Town several times, I've seen Town at Millwall I've always thuoght they were alright. Much better visitors than Cardiff, City or Rovers
