A mate of mine is having his stag at Cheltenham races in December but he wants somewhere to go afterwards.

Cardiff, Bristol and Birmingham are all a good 45mins-60mins away and the last thing you want to do after a day on the sauce at the races is have to travel far.

Can anyone think of somewhere a bit closer that is a good night out? Is Cheltenham any good? I dunno.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Donkey

Its a few years since I used to go out in Cheltenham, but it wasn't too bad - especially during term time (students from the college / university). Not going to be as much going on in bigger towns / cities though (obviously).

Cheltenham is a good night out provided you know where to go and hit some of the smaller pubs rather than the crappy chains in the town centre which are totally rubbish.

Sub-tone is a decent venue as is 24/7 and Blush although they are allrelatively small.

Theres a club (well used to be) called Moda and avoid it like the plague as its a bit like Reflex and pretty awful!

Moda sounds perfect for a stag do.
