Moore sure of Shirtliff's Swindon switch

PETER Shirtliff exercised a clause in his contract to set up his impending switch to become Swindon’s new assistant manager.

Ronnie Moore's comments about "maybe he thinks Swindon will do better than us" comments are a little immature. Older Tranmere fans dislike us enough as it is Smiley

Did he ever deny it?  He definitely wouldn't confirm it when questioned, but is that a denial?

Football must be about the only so called "profession" where you give a job to your mate, rather than going through a process of finding the right person.

Politics.

Nah in politics...it's usually your enemy that you give a job to, to them dump in it.  Most politicians get on better with people in other parties rather than their own.

I meant that specifically when running their offices (look how many MPs employ family members, it's a pretty considerable amount) rather than on a ministerial level perhaps.

Although if Ed Balls is Chancellor by Sunday it certainly isn't on merit.
