Don't think he did, is he not playing for both Galaxy and Milan now?
I think you're right. There were rumours that Milan wouldn't pay a transfer fee so he was going to pay it himself, but that was probably made up by some nobody clown who works for the Mirror/Sun/Mail/whatever

Its not all about who you 'regard' though is it?

I admired Diego Maradona, but he was still a cheating little shit.

There arent many players who can match Stuart Pearce in terms of being a talisman. And also a beacon of what playing for England is all about. He's a man that grown men twice his age would look up to.

I see the thread has gone onto player attitudes a bit...

I think one of the biggest problems with the top level game at the moment is the way that media pundits paint bad attitudes for good ones.

Being a petulant whining diving cunt is in no way part of a good attitude for a winger (CR). A bit of confidence and arrogance is a good thing in a big skilful forward (WR), but that's not the same as being an aggressive bullying thug.

I've picked a few initials out there for examples, but it's something which is rife throughout the mainstream punditry on the top level of football. Yeah, the top players are good, but that's not a reason to try and spin their negative attitudes into positive attributes.

I've just been listening to the Pet Shop Boys recent single Love Etc. (great tune). Reminded me of Cox for some reason.
