Ady from MOS is asking for anyone who saw a Town fan getting a kicking from 30-40 oh so brave Trannies today to get in touch: Did anyone witness the young STFC lad (who was walking along with his girlfriend outside Prenton Park after the game) get a kicking from between 30 and 40 brave hooligans from Tranmere? The police were there quickly evidently but not before the young lad had been kicked and thumped by many of the mob? The police will be grateful for any help which anyone on here can give..... please help out if you can and also put the word out about that it's not safe to wear colours at Prenton Park.. absolutely scandalous... http://www.rivals.net/forum/pgePosts.aspx?threadId=406971&boardId=105&clubId=80If anyone does want to get in touch with ady about this, PM me, and I'll put you in touch

I was at the game and in the Prenton Park after the game and saw no trouble.
There was a thread on one of our boards last week about away trips to your ground and about 5-6 different people had all had something similar happen on trips up to your ground, so it may have been someone looking for a bit of pay back. I don't know.
Cowardly way of doing things, and complete scum in my eyes.
Tranmere is generally a safe ground and away fans are always welcome to have a drink / banter / sing-song with us, colours or no colours.
Borough Road, however, is a pretty dangerous part of town even if you're a tranmere fan, game or no game. Some absolute reprobates hang round in gangs around there and it's best to stick in large groups if you're walking up for the train. A mate of mine got battered there last year, they knocked him out and then broke his legs by jumping on them, and they've done that to a few people in the last couple of years. So it may not even be Tranmere fans.
Sorry to hear about your lad anyway and good luck for the rest of the season.

The tranmere fans in the Prenton Park Hotel were fine, infact we were sat with some and the table beside had Town and Tranmere fans in colours talking, sharing a beer etc.
On a side note if one of our fans got done over I hope the scum get caught.

Didn't see this happen, but I saw a group of 15 or so likely looking lads walking past the Swindon coaches on the way out of the ground. They were chanting and actually being egged on by one of the Tranmere stewards (the cunt who had a row with THE FLASH).
