Okay it's been snowing since forever. Swindon Town have been around for decades! Why the fuck haven't we at some point brought pitch covers. Does anyone know how much they are paying for these?

We have some frost covers that are used along the DRS side of the pitch as this doesn't get any sunlight to defrost it - the additional ones are because the snow reflects all the light and so even with the sunlight takes longer to defrost...  Remember, we may have been around for decades and it may have been snowing since forever, but this is the first real winter we have had since the thieves departed the Castle and the new regime was installed....

Back in the 60's a covering of snow was useful, as it kept the frost out of the ground, the club would then put the word out through the supporters club, asking for volunteers to bring a brush and shovel and clear the terracing, the lines were then swept and maybe the goal mouths and away you went.

Apparently the pitch at Sixfields is fine...it's the getting to the ground that causes problems.

My insider tells that it is the Sixfields Car Park and Entrance that is the issue.

The surrounding roads are fine.

Which makes you wonder why bother putting covers over the pitch if they don't look after the car park!
