The addition of floodlights in 1951 at a cost of £350, gave Swindon the honour of being the first League club to do so. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/County_Ground,_Swindonwiki wiki wa wa

Yes but The present pylons date from 1960.
So we still need Reg to tell us who has the oldest floodlights.

On away days as a kid spotting floodlights was one of the most enjoyable parts of the trip. They're just not as glorious as they used to be

Some day, when every club sits next to habitat and Curries, fathers will bring their kids to Swindon from all over the country and say, son thats what real football grounds used to look like.

If we get a new ground any time soon, or ever, I want it to have old skool floodlights. They make a football ground.
