This is fact....afew of the Italians stayed after the war and settled in Swindon mainly round the Cambria Bridge area near the Grapes pub....and alot of Italians still live round that area.

    Tis true fB....quite a lot went up County Road a bit and settled around Elmina Road way.

    I used to kick about on the CG extension with Franco Sperti and Paul Fiocca , both useful players,  both made 1 appearance for the Town...I wouldn't have minded that.  Best of the bunch was Enzo Mascia, who althoough prominent as a youth player was a bit older than Fiocca and Sperti, so was around when we were strong and never got a game.
