Dear Mr King

I am writing to you on behalf of all Swindon Town supporters on the internet disscussion forum thetownend.com. Over the course of this season we had been lead to believe by yourself that we would make the play offs and have the chance of promotion. This looked a distinct possibility at one point but due to your negligence and incompetence this is not going to occur. The consequence of this is that the remainding games of the season are a completely pointless. This is very unfair you have single handedly deprived us of a trip to Cardiff and the excitement of the play offs.

I know that you may think that some of our criticisms are not just but let me give you some perspective. You are just passing through our great club you had no assossiation with the club before you arrived and will not do after you are sacked. We on the other hand are fans for life and we are the ones that suffer when you cause us to lose. So that you may understand more fully here is the way that it is meant to work.

AS SWINDON FANS IT IS OUR RIGHT TO BE PROMOTED in the same way that as here in Britain we have the right to vote, the right to a fair trial by jury and the right to freedom of speech. As Swindon manager it is your obligation to make sure that our rights are carried out. You have failed in this duty. At this club we have always had managers that have respected our rights and taken their responsibilities to carry them out seriousley. Lou macari, Ossie Ardiles, Glenn Hoddle even Steve Mcmahon. After you have achieved our right to promotion you are then able to be useless and crap, even to get relageted again if you wish that is OK as long as you have given us the promotion first. If you feel that you are likely to fail You may even walk out and leave us in the lurch with some incompetenet fool with a moustache who will then proceed to fail. That is Ok to just as long as you have given us the promotion which is our human right as a swindon fan.

It seems that you are not able or not willing to carry out our rights. We here on thetownend.com therefore take the reluctant action of asking you to resign your post as Swindon Town manager. We would like to thank you for your hard(all be it a bit misguided) work over the past two seasons and wish you all the best for the future.

PPS We have arranged to have the remainder of your conract paid up in full. The drinks tab which you still owe and the charges for the phone sex chatlines that we disscussed previousley have been deducted. This leaves a total of 146 pounds 56 pence which has been deposited to your account.
