Not yet. I've never seen one fly anyway. And it would mean that I was horribly misinformed by the classic bbc education program "Look and Read" and its story edition titled "Badger Girl". That thing taught me about magic e. Hat becomes Hate and all that stuff. Happy days.
I also remember "Geordie Racer" which was about pigeons racing or something, and the marvellous (well at the time - I was in year 3 so probably 7 or 8 maybe) "Through the Dragon's Eye" which was some wonderful fantasy story with Dragons and shit. I remember that one giving me nightmares but still loving it so much that I couldn't wait until we got to watch the next episode on a Friday afternoon. I've got a vague memory of some kids collecting bits of a bit octagon and getting liquidised or something. ben i think this is my favourite post iv ever, ever read. i thought i had completely dreamt geordie racer and through the dragons eye (although for some reason i thought it was called behind the waterfull. all i needed was a fellow lethbridger of about the same age, im currently enjoying major pangs of nostalgia, i vividly remember sitting in the hut smackbang in the middle of lethbridge infants playground watching through the dragons eye, the one where one of the birds gets kidnapped by a baddie called shaan, and she knits a scarf that says "HELP, SHAAN" on it and she gets rescued. if i could ever find a vid of that id be made for life. and in geordie racer an illegal bird egg smuggling ring who send telegrams in backwards letters get found out by a group of kids, unluuuuuuuucky! ahhhh the humble perreguin falcoln

I don't remember much of being 18-21 so it all adds up. 4-8 is easy.
I just found a torrent. I'm grabbing it for keeps.

I know the thread has moved on, but on the Birds of Prey front I thoroughly recommend the Hawk Conservancy near Andover. Their conservation ethic is spot on, and the 3 flying displays are superb. . http://www.hawk-conservancy.org/It's a bit of a trek over I suppose, but not much more than symonds yat, and you are far less likely to run into six fingered yocals (compared to the Forest of Deane anyway). It's not the same as 'twitching' one in their native habitat, but it's far more convenient.
