Why is it that members of the supporters club get priority for tickets for the Leeds game (on the official site).
I might be out of order here & have nothing against the supporters club itself, but I'm a bit annoyed that members of the TRUST aren't getting the same priority.
The supporters club never did anything to support the new owners & get rid of the old.
If it were the old regime, I'd just put it down to them being petty & bloody minded, but I do hope that this is not the brainchild of the new regime.
Or am I just being a bit touchy here
Yes, I think you are tbh. As Hertha said, the SC are officially aligned whereas we're an independent body. And they've often done this for ticket priority stuff in the past. Wouldn't start reading in what's not there
I don't think hes been touchy at all. Both organisations represent the fans and do their bit for the club. To choose one and not the other because one is "official" seems a bit limp particualrly given the membership size of the Trust. I would hope both groups would be valued equally.
In the scheme of things its not a major issue, nor should raising the issue be seen as having a moan at the new owners. Just because the old regime did it this way is no reason for the new owners to follow suit and hopefully once they get settled in we will see changes in the way fans are treated and consulted with.
Erm, yes, but then there's always been a tradition of being an SC member being the last qualifiying stage for getting included in ticket priority (although the old lot quite often forgot about it), there has been no such tradition with the Trust. As Frasier3 says (well kind of), the acid test is more going to be in terms of genuine dialogue. Put it this way - I'd be a lot more unhappy if the new owners refused to talk to the Trust about any serious issues but gave all Trust members top priority for getting tickets to the Leeds game.
Either way, I don't see this as something for people to get all bent out of shape over - maybe give the new regime more than a day or so to get up and running before people start looking for snubs.
