Quote from James Wills in todays adver

"We would have given the club to the fans' consortium but we actually never had any offer from them.

"We have been waiting for Bill Power and his people but they never made an offer.

"If they had come up with a sensible offer we would have listened and we would have gone.

It does sound the Wills didn't like the deal with BEST. Maybe that's why they upped the price a bit sharpish? I actually think he came across as quite genuine. But then, what the fuck do I know?

I was under the impression an offer in principle was made subject to due dilligence, but due dilligence never comenced because of unreasonable clauses unknown regarding the NDA?

So in effect it's true to say a final offer was never made,  it's just the reasons why it was never made have been omitted.

I'm sure I'll be corrected soon enough if I am mistaken.

Largely, although it would probably be more accurate to say that several informal offers were made and it was actually made impossible to proceed to due diligence (from which a formal offer could have been made) due to the £1.2m "entry fee".

Found it more funny that he claims to have been a regular in the Townend and that he would rather be in there than the boardroom.  Join in the chants James "SACK THE BOARD, SACK THE BOARD, SACK THE BOARD".  Almost as classic as Mikey D saying yesterday he was a fan but then in todays he said he had a phone call from Dennis Wise whilst he was at a Reading game  :x

To be fair that Reading Arsenal game was on a Sunday, if it was someone we liked that did this we wouldn't have a problem with it...

For fucks sake.

In Diamandis' last interview he almost laughed off his chair at the prospect of a fans consortium.
