NEGOTIATIONS CONTINUE
Posted on: Mon 15 Oct 2007

The Club would like to confirm that negotiations are continuing with other interested parties with regards to the takeover of Swindon Town Football Club.

The Shareholders have been working extremely hard over the last four months or so to find a buyer who will guarantee the immediate financial security of the Football Club.

Best Holdings continue to assert that they are interested in completing the deal and The Club would be delighted if they did so. However, The Club has considered it prudent to commence discussions with other interested parties given the protracted nature of the negotiations with Best Holdings

Ok, now I am gettiing worried. I was convinced they would announce something with at least some positive spin on it. Now it seems to be getting periously close to how it was with the Fans Consortium in tone.

So another non-statement saying absolutely nothing. Obviously they still think they can fool supporters with vague statements that say nothing. A few naive people may fall for it but I'm sure the majority of our fanbase now realise that the board are making it up as they go along..........fair to say they are up Shit creek without a paddle

Well that seems to me like Best Holdings are no longer really interested. Because the board are trying to reassure us everything is OK they don't want to say Best have pulled out.

the tight fisted gits want their money and are willing to risk winding up orders  and points deductions to get it. personaly i think their parting gift is to  accept a last minute takeover having guaranteed for us fans a points deduction.

Firstly they wouldn't have the money to cover the debts so that is certainly a no go but if by some stretch they did i think I'd have to stop going for their period in control as I wouldn't want any part of it. Nice idea but I'd hate it to happen to a club I support...
