Im happy with arrieta, he lacks pace and skill but from what i have seen/heard he can find the net, and thats what we need.

No issue with taking a punt on a cheapy like this.  I'd be more concerned if we now sign the spanish lad as well, with Sturrock already being signed-up.

We'd effectively have what most people think is a forward line at the start of the season that has so far not looked too threatening in front of goal.

For me,we should be looking for someone else now.
Im with you there rob  Smiley

Fucking moaning cunts.

He met his team mates YESTERDAY FFS!!!

What did you expect, he'd score a hat trick? He'd be able to instinctively read what players he's never played with before were going to do?

Stick to FM, or whatever and leave the team to Sturrock.

Ooooh, get her. All I was saying is that he didn't look all that in the game last night, certainly the poorer of the two strikers.

I do realise you can't judge him on 70 minutes in what was his first day at the club;) Just surprised we offered him a contract so soon -thought we might have another look at Exter/FGR before deciding.  I assume Sturrock has been watching him though.

Couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo is what I deduce from the musings on this forum.

But then thinking about it, thats a multi-step process thats not quite as easy as it sounds.

1. Locate a banjo, and grasp firmly in hand.
2. Locate a field of cows. Ideally a lone cow to reduce risk of stampeding beasts. Enter field undected by cow and approach rear of said cow, or identified target if multiple bogies are in range.
3. Draw back arm holding banjo, then execute swing of implement similar to that of a baseball bat, hoping to god the banjo lands somewhere on the cows rump.
4. Fucking leg it!

I'd draw a flowed diagram if I could be arsed...

(Before anyone asks, I'm on about Arietta)

Felt Kaid had more about him, movement, link ups, flick on's and generally more of a threat.  Yes Arrieta ran around and flung into a few challenges but don't really want strikers doing that, if we were going to stick with something like that we might as well keep Peacock up there.

He's got the same sort of background as Phil Smith - so hopefully he'll turn out the same....!

And while we're talking about players coming from non-league, let us not forget a certain Freddy 'Where's Your Caravan' Eastwood who we had on trial here.

If this Mohammed lad had gone to Wrexham and scored 25 goals people on here would have been moaning like fuck (probably the same ones who are saying, "oooooh, he's not what we need" and such like  )

Sam Parkin joined us on this day 5 years ago - so that suggests that a late addition can make a whole lot of difference!
