I dont understand-i bet on authorized at evens on William hill-who had an offer that said if it wins by 5 lengths or more (which he did) you get double the odds-which would be 2/1.....i put on £6 but only got £12 back.
They wouldn't not give back the stake on that type of offer would they? Otherwise surely, with odds of evens, its pointless?!?!?

No, you did get double.

Evens is 1/1, not 2/1.

So you put £6 on, if there was no special offer you would have only got your stake back.
