I know i know its another thread where a club has released players and im going to say how about so n so but i think these could be possibilities,

How would people feel about Holt or Lester? Holt would be a great signing imo although didnt he turn down a move to city because he didnt want to move south?

Different Holt!

Lester would be a decent shout.

Problem with a lot of these type of players, is that they've had their noses in the trough  for so long, that its what they expect... easy money.

I watched both games v Yeovil and Forest were terrible....it was around 70 mins into the second game before they had a second shot on target, other than pens and free kicks.

Presumably Colin thinks they're wasters and wants a hungrier squad.

He may have been....after all he failed.   I'd imagine Stuart Pearce might come in.....I can see Sturrock walking once he sees his budget for next season, and Colin being brought in to quell the behind the Arkells protests.

Having watched Forest play though....I now want Paul Trollope.

if it's the midfielder Holt, he might be a decent replacement for Evans?

Sadly, his injury record is worse than Evans.

Don't think Sturrock was all that impressed with Kevin James when he was here.

Hes done an excellent job at Bristol Rovers .. but I think hes more of a coach than a manager but Im sure hes learning fast ... certainly having Lennie Lawrence there helps

I am generally of the opinion tha tplayers that Forest don't want are no good to us.  If we want to be relatively competitive next season we need decent players - if another League One club isn't interested then neither should we be.  Of course there are exceptions but as a general rule we should be looking at Championship rejects or players from Leagues one and two looking to progress - actually truning down contracts not relased players. Players like Steve Lomas are classic examples of who we should be looking at.

mattboyslim, I concur.

I'd love it if we signed Steve Lomas.
