You missed this one lambourn where Bill P shoots down the whole "There is no consortium" bullshit:

http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/sportlatest/display.var.1200436.0.power_insists_consortium_is_working_together.php

Obviously this must have been the extremely positive article Gazza was trying to draw our attention to. Well done Gaz!

i believe that this supposed other investor is being used on two fronts, 1) to ramp up the price (as if the quite frankly hilarious £10million wasn't enough!), 2) to attempt to dis-credit the consortium's professionalism (if that's not a word then it bloody well ought to be) by saying that the other "talks are at an advanced stage".

of course, the board's absolute reluctance to speak seriously to the consortium is slowing things down, and it doesn't help that they appear to be very busy threatening fans with legal action.

interesting that the adver confirms recent talks WERE about the takeover, and not solely about bill power's £1.2 million as stated by starnes - is this man even capable of telling the truth?

To be fair to Starnes, lebowski, I don't think they always tell him what's going on (e.g. letting him make a fool of himself on the radio with the American investor thing when SSW's lawyers had written to Bill and Phil the day before)
