That almost made me cry.
People can be so strong when staring death in the face. Fair play to the bloke and I hope he has a great celebration. A lot of people don't even get the chance to do that before their time is up.

I read this in yesterday Swindon Advertiser and it was really sad and he has just bought two bars in Majorca. Best of luck to him.

Indeed, obviously a totally rubbish thing to happen - but the guy has a great chance to plan things out - like he says most people don't know when these things are gonna happen, he can try and make the most of it, and hopefully make it as bearable as possible for everyone concerned. What a great attitude he's got and lets hope everything goes off exactly how he wants it.

I know what you mean Si - was an emotional read.
I like the bit where he says "if some people don't turn up, I can call them to find out why - not many people can do that after their wake". What a strong charcter this guy must be, take my hat off to the bloke!!
Just hope by the end of the Walsall match he has something to be proud of!!

It goes wothout saying, and I know it's probably pretty far down his list of priorities right now, but I hope the club just turn round to him and say he can have what he wants, whenever he wants it from now on - tickets, hospitality etc
Hopefully they won't publicise it either, hardly the sort of thing you should be getting marketing credence for

Great story Andy used to live 2 doors up from me so was a neighbour for about 10+ years before moving on few years back. Was always a nice bloke and devoted town fan, hope he gets the send off he deserves.

Fair play to him i say, must be so difficult for the daughter's especially after losing their Mum a few days before Christmas 10 years ago.
Let's hope the Club do everything they can for him.

fair play to him, he isn't going to sit around and let this ruin the rest of his life, my mum has cancer (non terminal) so I can only imagine what his family is going through. My best wishes go to him and his family.

I nearly lost my wife to 3 brain haemorrhages many years ago. She arrested and was three months in hospital. I count our blessings every day that we have had together since then. Despite the difficulties she still has, it was a price worth paying, as life is so much richer with her in it.
