His son was a pretty tidy non league forward, and is now Assistant manager at Calne Town.

No he's not Simon H is a fat bastard with a bad back.  As for his dad doubt he'd ever be given the green light to get back into that side of the game.

For what it's worth I thought this thread was about Ray Hardman, was slightly confused about "he's the kinda man who could turn things around".

I meant Brian Hiller, but obviously confused him with Hardman and came up with Harding.......

Hope that clears up the confusion!

Ok, he was always a touch large, but I didn't think he was too bad at the level that I saw him play (note desctiption as 'Pretty Tidy' not 'good' ) and its is Simon Hillier that I was talking about as assistant manager at Calne Town, not Brian.

I know it was Simon you were on about, he's a slow cumbersome fat bastard with a bad back.  He was never that good for Maude Heath on a Sunday either.

I was talking about his dad in the second sentence of my reply.
