I know its from the gossip pages, and should be taken with a pinch of salt, but at least there are flutterings that Dennis Wise may not be taking the Leeds job after all.  Here's hoping!!

as rumours go, if thats what you want to hear to make you feel better....
Wise apparently in one of the reports, does not want to work with Bates as he is Godfather to one of his children and worries it may damage their relationship in the future should things go wrong.....

Pure speculation though yet again, so i'd just wait until someone officially confirms his position (preferrably from his own mouth) in the near future.

I heard on the sportslive radio that Wise refused the Leeds job a couple of years back due to the Mrs, and the fact that she doesn't want to live around that area.

I didn't mention I believed it at all, but at least there are some flutterings indicating that he may not after all, go to Leeds.  After all the pessimism lately, anything, even if it is in the Star and Mirror, is welcome.

People dont seem to be giving Wise enough credit were it is due....
He has been nothing but professional since his arrival, in the way he wanted to control all areas of the team, the way he laid out pre-season down to the recent anything but 3 points and an awesome performance is not good enough attitude that will only benefit our lads.

I will stand corrected if i'm wrong but he comes across as not only professional but a man of his word.

Dont get me wrong he may not stay the full 3 years, but its not in his own personal interest long term, to leave now without finishing the job he's started otherwise he looks like he is only after the money.
More accurately though he seems to have the small man syndrome, the never say never, die for your team attitude that means he couldnt quit unless in his own head he felt he had achieved his goals and to be honest I think the first of these would be promotion for Dennis with Swindon, not 1/4 the way there and leave them to it!

Trust in professionalism and a good attitude to work and Dennis will be here for the forseable future I think.

Only my view however....

i agree. i do believe he wants to stay and is prepared to stay. but its in the boards hands. if they want to get involved in the areas that DW wants full control there could be problems

Like the rest of us, I'm sure he's sick to the back teeth of politics. Sadly, we have a role to play in sorting it out - we have to be heard - but his job is sorting them out at Wanborough and doing the business on the pitch.

Holt should do a sponsored silence with all proceeds going to TrustSTFC.

ffs Wise wont leave, even if he wants to leave us....staying here and winning games will only increase his stock....meaning more higher clubs will be after him...

Duplicate post so sorry but it's more relevant here:

Daily Express states that Ken Bates is not going to appoint Wise as he wouldn't want to ever have to sack him in case it ruins their relationship. Wise is Bate's son's godfather or something.
