I dont know why the govewnment has to legislate on matters such as this.

Information should be made easily available and clear then people can make thier own decisions.

If parents dont want their children in booster seats then that should be their choice.

A booster seat probably helped save my life as a young lad. I was teensy as a child and had to have a booster seat in the car. My mum decided to put our XR3i backwards through a hedge into a field just outside Cirencester. I escaped with just cuts and bruises thanks to the seat.

I would rather be embarrassed than dead.

Quote from: "Northern Red"
This booster seat thingy is just one aspect of a changed law. Other bits include:

- Children under 12 and less than 135cm tall may not travel in the front of a car without an appropriate seat or cushion, under any circumstances

- It becomes illegal to use a rear-facing baby seat in a front seat protected by an airbag

- Seated bus and coach passengers over the age of 14 must use seat belts where fitted

- From May 2009, all passengers in any vehicle will have to use an appropriate restraint (baby seat, child seat, booster seat/cushion) or seat belt, where seat belts are fitted
why has it taken until now to introduce this!?
