i'd like to point out that david unsworth, stuart pearce, julian dicksand numerous other defenders have been the usual penalty takers for their respective clubs.

but yes. good penalty. er cheers jack

yeah was a good pen, the likes of david unsworth and dennis irwin always took a decent pen but didnt stop me and others looking confused when he steped up.

Good point Bennett

the groan from around me when he stepped up though was audible.

Just watched it again a cpl of times and it was real good

Just another example of the confidence and spirit running through the team I suppose.

on the flip side it was nice to read Wise's comments on the honesty of Robbo by stating that he didnt want it !

(was that a tad contradictory ?)

Bodin used to be our regular penalty taker aswell when he was here wasn't he? He definately was in the Premiership season anyway.

I'm sure he was for a lot of the time he was here.

I remember Hazard taking some; and Maskell 1 against Cambridge to get a Hat-trick as well.

Also against Leicester in 1990 when we missed 2 in a match; think Bodin and Tom Jones? missed them.

But generally he was very reliable.

What I remember almost as much was him steping up to take a pen for us (against Ipswich I think) just a few days after his Wales miss and having the balls to still do his usual thing of putting it into the roof of the net. Class.
