It was.  The FA's ingenious idea for creating revenue for the top clubs post-Heysel.


That brings back memories of that semi-final at Luton in 88. Lost 2-1 but played them off the pitch second half and could easily have got to Wembley; good Swindon support at Kenilworth that night too.

I was gutted leaving the ground; thinking that was one of my best chances ever of seeing Swindon at Wembley; little knowing that I'd be there twice in the next 5 years  Cool


Remember when Bamber was clean through on goal with no one around him for miles? He stopped because he assumed he was offside except the ref hadn't blown and the lino hadn't put his flag up. D'oh! I think that would have put us 2-1 up if memory serves.
