would be a good catch for them. duff on the left, lennon on the right wing. berbatov/defoe banging them in and the dutch master orchestrating it all (Jol, one of my favourite Prem managers). Could be their highest finish for a while.

you're having a giraffe, or you've got a different spurs

I have a feeling that Carrick will be off to Manchester by the start of teh new season.......what Fergie wants Fergie usually gets...(unless Chelski want him)

bloody annoyed, it seems they played frienlies against Bordeauxx and Celta Viga last weekend, in Thonon-les-Bains which is only about 30 minute drive from Geneva, and I didn't find out about it until now.  Would have been better than watching repeats of keeping up appearances on BBC prime.

Rich - you win. Newcastle's average attendance is about 50,000. Just a small club

I think you really meant to say under achievers.

Newcastle are a small club.

I think you really meant to say they have high attendances of late. Up until not too long ago they were getting 10k crowds. They've never won anything. Their supporters pack the stadium for some matches, and desert them for the less important ones.
